Have you created an amazing course and are eager to share your knowledge with the world? In EducUp Studio, you'll be amazed at how easy it is. Through this guide, we'll walk you through the process of publishing your course, broken down into simple steps.
Step 1: Set the course status
Within your course view, go to the "Content" > "Summary" tab and look for the "Information" box. There, you will find the "Course Status" field. By default, it will be set to "Draft."
The course states are:
- Draft: A preliminary version of the course.
- Coming Soon: The course is complete and approved. The educator schedules the date when the course will be available to students, visible but not yet accessible.
- Published: The course is approved and immediately available to students on the app and the web.
Step 2: Validation
Click the "Validate" button to ensure you have everything you need to publish your course. Validation will provide you with errors and warnings. It's crucial to fix the errors to ensure publication.
There are 10 tasks that will be marked as errors if not completed. You can find these tasks and their status in the "Tasks" section on the right side of the screen.
Completed tasks will be marked with a green check, and those that aren't with a red cross. The 10 tasks are:
✅ The course has an appealing and descriptive name.
✅ The course has a description that captures the attention of future students.
✅ The course has an attractive background image.
✅ The course has at least one benefit written for students.
✅ The course has at least one defined module.
✅ The course has at least one active topic to keep students engaged.
✅ The course has at least one active lesson to enhance the learning experience.
✅ The course has at least one active learning activity that presents content and exercises.
✅ You have an active subscription that allows you to publish courses. Explore subscription options in Educup Studio.
Step 3: Publish your course
Once you have completed all the necessary tasks, it's time to take your course to the next level. In this step, you will change the status of your course from "Draft" to "Coming Soon" or "Published," according to your preferences and goals.
