A multiple-choice learning activity, which includes true and false questions as well as various options, is an effective tool for assessing and promoting learning. In these activities, students are presented with a series of statements or questions and must choose the correct answer from several options.
These activities are highly versatile and foster critical thinking, decision-making, and the application of knowledge. They are widely used in teaching and assessment due to their effectiveness in measuring learning and improving information retention.
Creating a Multiple Choice Activity
Step 1: Access the "Add activity" option
To access this template and create a Multiple Choice learning activity, there are two cases to reach it:
1- Create a new activity in a lesson that does not yet have any activity:
You must go to "My courses", which you will find in the main panel (left side) / "Content" tab / Module / Topic / Lesson. Here you will find two options to create an activity, in this case, you will check the "Add activity" option.
2- Create a new activity in a lesson that already has rounds and activities created:
You must go to "My courses", which you will find in the main panel (left side) / "Content" tab / Module / Topic / Lesson / Round. In each round you will have an icon with the "+" symbol that you must press to create a new activity.
Step 2: Select Multiple Choice template
Once you select the "Add activity" option, a pop-up window will be shown for you to select the type of activity, you must choose the "Multiple Choice" option.
Step 3: Configure the activity
- Language: Define the language in which the learning activities will be conducted.
- Title: Add a title that clarifies the orientation of the activity.
- Body: It is used to provide context.
- Audio Text: It is used to create an audio recording that instructs the student.
- Items: It defines the number of parts into which the question is divided, whether for true/false options or multiple-choice.
Step 4: Save
Click the "Create activity" button to finish the creation of this activity.
Note: Once the activity is created, you can go to it and add new parameters or modify all its information.
